The company was founded in 1991 under the name MK Models, as a hobby
shop. Then, for the purpose of conversions and scratchbuilts,
appeared the necessity to reproduce the parts, which are repeated on
the models, like wheels, axles etc. By that the first attempts with
castings started. Epoxy resin and halved two part moulds were
quickly replaced by polyurethan (PUR) and vacuum casting, substitute
parts for existing kits were replaced by complete PUR kits with
decals and photoetched parts.
Enthusiasm for the Czech vehicle manufacturer TATRA led us to
production of Tatra model line. These models are sold under the
branch of MMK. Although the majority of Tatra models we are
preparing also models of another known makes (Skoda, Bedford, Mack
etc.) |
